Born and raised by flower children of the 70's, Jay thought the world revolved around him until art school, when he discovered the world was enormous and he wasn't. Through study, and imitation, and lots of hard work, Jay came into his voice as an artist while enjoying the rapid advances in digital tools. His work in advertising led him to simplicity and his life in the Southwest led him to intense color and contrast.
